    Bryan,

A true original with the heart of a lion and a wild sense of humour. Such an inspiration to me as a young tradesman and a friend.

I’m proud to have had the opportunity to call you a mate, know your family, share a love of music and work on your homes.

A truly great man that won’t be forgotten.

    Thanks for shining bright.

There are some people in this world that you just cannot imagine them not being around. Bryan you are one of them. Having known you for my whole life, I have many memories of you and all of them just give me an overall sense of joy. You always made me (and others) smile. You were a special part of our family.

I will forever, even more treasure the beautiful wedding photos you took for Sam and I and helped us to enjoy and remember the most perfect day. Thank you.

You will not be forgotten, thank you for being such a kind, talented, entertaining and special human.

Fond memories over many stretched out years after meeting Bryan at TiddyWiddy Beach. My dad  enjoyed delivering eggs to Leon and Dawn. We saw the shack go up and met Bryan. I used to catch him often at the test cricket scrambling around with his cameras inside the fence. He visited me after my dad died in 09 and photographed my charactoristic workshop that he said he was going to put on vinyl on his livingroom wall. He did say that he hadn’t mentioned this to his family however. I know he is sadly missed. Don Hosking

Bryan is such a nice and lovely person. I will never forget 2 years ago when I moved in Sturt Ave, he and his family invited me to the Christmas Cheer to let me feel warmly welcomed. Every single time I saw Bryan he was always smiley and sunny.

Dear Bryan, thank you for your kindness and concern to the neighbourhood. It makes the community friendly and warm. I also appreciate you liking and supporting our farm fresh product although you went fishing.

Dear Bryan – such a lovely man! In all the years I worked with Bryan I never heard him say an unkind word about anyone!

A true gentleman, in every sense of the term, it was a pleasure to work with Bryan, for both his brilliant, professional sense of photography, and his pleasant companionship.

He will be greatly missed by a great many.

So many memories of fun times with Bryan. From early years of riding around on Vespa scooters, to summer holidays at Carrackalinga & Bryan’s birthday parties, especially his 50th celebrated in the Flinders Ranges.  RIP

I moved to Australia when I was three years old, and have known Daniel, Lauren, Denise and Bryan for almost as long.

Bryan and Denise’s home at Grandview Grove (and their frequent house at Carrickalinga) were a second home to me. I still have the wooden boat and the little table we made in his woodworking shed when we were 10 or so.

Bryan was such a character – welcoming to me, of course, but also just a hilarious prankster, always messing with us. He was always an absolute favourite of all of our friends. There is so much of him in Daniel, and surely will be in little Angus.

We gave him a lot of grief over the years – but it was mischief he would always end up joining in on. Sure, we accidentally fired Daniel’s flammable potato cannon inside, but who was the guy firing it from the beach all the way back to the house? That was Bryan, of course. Fun was always the first and foremost priority. What a legend, who will be sorely missed.

    Love to all the Charltons,

    Matt

Bryan always seemed to be at functions or events I attended and he always took great photos, some of which we have in our office but sadly I do not have any photos of him as he was always behind a camera doing what he loved. I will try and print the photo above as a keep sake as to me this sums up his love of life and his career. RIP Bryan.
